We are delighted to announce the opening of our new fully stocked fresh meat counter in the farm shop at Planters. Our fully trained butcher, Lloyd Taylor, will be on hand to help you choose the right cut for whatever dish you are preparing.

We will only offer the very best of British meat at our counter. Our Garden Café and Restaurant will use the very same meat as you can buy from our butcher. So… if you like what you have eaten in the Café…you will know where to go next!

Where possible, we are stocking local meat, and will be offering the following farm sourced meats:

  • Lamb from the Montague Farm Estate, Pevensey Marshes, East Sussex. Farmer is Martin Hole
  • Beef from Holmes Farm, Bexhill, East Sussex. Farmer is Jason Smith

We will also be offering Free Range Chicken only from Creedy Carver and Free Range Pork from Blythburgh and Dingley Dell.

Our handmade butcher sausages are freshly made with the same meat. Our dry cured British Bacon is from Bramfield and is second to none.

In our sister business, based only a few miles away in Bodiam, we have been dealing with the aforementioned farmers and meat suppliers for many years and have full confidence that you will enjoy their meat as much as we do!
